Lors de ma dernière visite à Anvers, j’ai visité DIVA, le nouveau musée du diamant à Anvers. Ce musée est situé au cœur d’un quartier commerçant florissant où autrefois, travaillaient des orfèvres. Le musée a donc choisi de s’installer là où tout a commencé pour permettre aux visiteurs de découvrir et vivre l’histoire du diamant, s’inscrivant dans celle de la joaillerie et de l’orfèvrerie anversoise.

During my last visit to Antwerp, I visited DIVA, the new diamond museum in Antwerp. This museum is located in the heart of a thriving commercial district where goldsmiths used to work. The museum has therefore chosen to settle where it all began to allow visitors to discover and experience the history of diamonds, as part of the history of jewelery and goldsmithery in Antwerp.

DIVA présente au public quelques 600 objets issus de sa collection. Grâce à la scénographie, aux paysages sonores, aux applications multimédias et aux projets interactifs, le visiteur pénètre dans un univers de luxe brillant de mille feux.

DIVA se dévoile au fil de six salles à thème qui racontent chacune une histoire. On y découvre l’histoire du diamant à Anvers, hier et aujourd’hui. Avec son programme d’expositions ambitieux, DIVA fait désormais partie des sites incontournables d’Anvers.

DIVA presents to the public some 600 objects from its collection. Through scenography, soundscapes, multimedia applications and interactive projects, the visitor enters a world of luxury shining brightly.

DIVA unfolds over six theme rooms that tell a story each. We discover the history of diamonds in Antwerp, yesterday and today. With its ambitious exhibition program, DIVA is now one of the key sites in Antwerp.

DIVA est un projet de collaboration entre la Province et la Ville d’Anvers, qui joue à la fois la carte d’un contenu muséal et d’un vécu attrayants. Il parle de la notoriété dont Anvers et la Flandre jouissent déjà depuis des années, y compris à l’étranger. Pour illustrer cette histoire, il est allé puiser dans les collections des anciens musées du Diamant et de l’Orfèvrerie et a fait appel à ses nombreux prêteurs.

DIVA is a collaboration project between the Province and the City of Antwerp, which plays both the card of a museum content and an attractive experience. It speaks of the notoriety that Antwerp and Flanders have enjoyed for years, including abroad. To illustrate this story, it went to draw on the collections of the former Diamond and Goldsmith's Museums and appealed to his numerous lenders.

En plus des salles d’exposition, DIVA dispose d’une somptueuse bibliothèque, d’une salle où l’on organise des ateliers de création de bijoux et d’objets d’orfèvrerie, deux salles que l’on peut louer et deux boutiques (la boutique du musée et une boutique de bijoux).

Pour tous les amoureux de bijoux, je recommande vivement de visiter ce musée si vous passer par Anvers. Vous ne serez pas déçus d'y voir de vrais trésors et de vivre votre DIVA moment ;-)

In addition to the exhibition halls, DIVA has a sumptuous library, a room where jewelery and goldsmithing workshops are organized, two rooms that can be rented and two shops. (the museum shop and a jewelry shop).

For all jewelry lovers, I highly recommend visiting this museum if you go through Antwerp. You will not be disappointed to see real treasure and live your DIVA moment ;-)
